Medical microneedling is a procedure designed to enhance & improve skin complexion via activation of the skin’s natural regenerative processes which stimulates collagen synthesis.
Skin Needling causes micro-injury beneath the skin’s surface. This induces the skin’s natural wound healing response which produces a series of growth factors that promote the body’s own production of natural collagen and elastin. The stimulation of new collagen production can continue for up to 12 months following treatment with the results lasting for many years.

Immediately after treatment your skin will appear quite red. The discoloration will slowly reduce over the first few hours. You may also feel tightness and extra sensitivity, but this will also reduce over the coming hours.
Your results can be enhanced by combining the following treatments in between you needling treatments.

Skin Needling is natural and the healing period is minimal, with no negative effects, and is safe for all skin types.
Skin Needling is not suitable for people who have been on roaccutane in the last 6 months; who have active acne, infections, psoriasis, dermatitis in the area being treated, uncontrolled diabetes, pregnant or breastfeeding, or people prone to keloid scars.
Each treatment will have results, however we recommend a minimum of 3 or more treatments depending on the desired results. Treatments are generally 6 weeks apart. We offer a variety of packages to accommodate your budget.
Following the treatment, your clinician will discuss the post care with you.
- No touching of the facial areas for at least 12 hours directly following treatment.
- Use only skincare prescribed by your clinician.
- Daily sun protection using zinc oxide based sunscreen.
- Keep skin clean from environmental contaminates for at least 24 hours.
As you have many micro wounds in the treated area, it is important to insure that you keep this area as sterile as possible. For at least 12 hours following treatments there should be no touching the area, no exercise, no sun exposure, no spray tans, no make-up, and sleep on clean pillows away from pets.
And remember, avoid using un-prescribed skin care products for at least 3 or 4 days.
Although down time is minimal the following may occur:
- redness
- swelling
- itching
- sensitivity
- tightness
- dryness
- flaking and peeling
