Epidermal Levelling

Discover the benefits of a Epidermal Levelling treatments.

Epidermal Levelling, also known as EpiBlading or Dermaplaning, is a method of gentle skin exfoliation.

A sterile surgical blade glides over the face at a 45 degree angle removing the epidermis partially as well as any vellus facial hair. The skin’s integrity is maintained and nourished during and after the procedure, reducing any inflammation and irritation, whilst treating skin concerns.

There is little to no downtime associated with the epiblading treatment. Clients leave with smooth, glowing and supple skin.

Epidermal levelling treatments offer a number of advantages, including:

• Effectively removes top layers of dead skin cells
• Leaves skin smooth and glowing
• Removes fine downy/vellus hair (peach fuzz)
• Skin is well primed for makeup application

The most common question with EpiBlading is will the hair grow back thicker after treatment?

The answer is no. The EpiBlading treatment only removes the surface of the hair. The only time you can stimulate hair growth is if the blood supply to the follicle is affected, such as with waxing. Hair is expected to grow back blunt-ended and will feel coarse initially. The new hair will not appear darker or coarser.
Note: Fine vellus hair is not hormonal hair, so its removal will not stimulate thicker hair.

How long will the results last?

Results from your epiblading treatment last several months, however vellus hair will return within 4-6 weeks. Having regular ongoing treatments will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.

We recommend having Epiblading every 4-6 weeks.
